How many times have we heard the ever nauseating term 'iPhone killer' before the release of almost every high end phones, post the release Apple's iPhone? And how many times have they disappeared without a trace? But the real question is, are u ready for another? To use an oft repeated line-pun intended; spare me the horror! I'm waiting for the day when every phone maker worth its salt stop piggybacking on iPhone. A serious contender would and i think could do without it. Until that day, here are the long list of supposed iPhone killers who either flopped or ended scooping iPhone's backside altogether.

HTC  TOUCH

The deal: First of the iPhone killers, 2.8 TFT resistive touchscreen, 2 MP Camera, 128 MB RAM and Windows Mobile 6.O OS.

How it fare:  Though a neat phone to start with, the  phone was a sluggish little thing. Windows Mobile's User Interface didn't help either.

Verdict: HTC's TouchFLO couldn't hide the ugliness of Windows. Definitely, wasn't a killer phone.

      HTC  TOUCH DIAMOND

The deal: Another try at iPhone killing, 2.8 TFT resistive touchscreen, 3.2 MP Camera, 4 GB storage memory and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

How it fare:  Earn rave reviews, some bought it.Yet Windows Mobile's User Interface didn't improve even after an upgrade.

Verdict: Neat phone, had a diamond shaped curve. TouchFlo nowhere near iPhone's Mac OS.
